High On The Har featured by Israel Unwired during Sukkot 2022


The Jewish holiday of Sukkot is one of three Jewish holidays when Jews are commanded to go up to the Temple Mount. Since the Temple was destroyed over 2,000 years ago, and the majority of the Jewish people being in exile for most of those years, unfortunately, few Jews today follow through on going up to the Temple Mount on those three holidays. However, little by little, Jews are returning to follow our ancient customs as they were intended, including returning to go up to the Temple Mount on this holy holiday of Sukkot. This year was the first time that I personally made it up to the Temple Mount during the Sukkot holiday.

And I was not alone. Whereas last year’s high was 747 Jews going up to the Temple Mount on the first day of Sukkot (in the Jewish year of 5782), this year that number was just about doubled, with 1,397 Jews going up (in the Jewish year of 5783).This is absolutely historic! These are amazing, historic numbers!
